Dhammakaya Open University offers the graduate a Bachelor of Buddhism (Buddhist Studies) or B.B. Degree.

Academic Programs

Dhammakaya Open University offers three different levels of education as follows:

1. The Certificate of Achievement Program (Thai and English Languages)
A Certificate of Achievement will be issued for each of the courses completed. Presently, the English Program offers only the Certificate of Achievement Program.

2. The Diploma Program (Thai Language)
A Diploma of One Year’s Completion will be issued to the student who has completed 8 compulsory courses. (For those who have not completed a high school education, this diploma will allow the student to pursue further study at the Bachelor’s Degree level at Dhammakaya Open University).

3. The Bachelor’s Degree Program (Thai Language)
The student must complete all of the 26 compulsory courses as well as 2 elective courses.

Program Description for Bachelor’s Degree Program

The BA in B.B. program is a 28-course program that combines 26 core courses and 2 electives. Completion of the BA program is dependent on the following requirements:

Program Description for Certificate of Achievement Program

Students can apply and register for the Certificate of Achievement Program regardless of educational background, assuming the applicant is at least 16 years old. The credits earned for the Certificate of Achievement can be transferred towards a Diploma or Bachelor degree. There are 28 courses available in Thai and 8 courses available in English.
